HCA Advocate of the Year Maureen CollierCongratulations to Maureen Collier, All Care’s Vice President of Clinical Services, for receiving the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts‘s Advocate of the Year award during their recent Star Awards and Innovation Showcase.

The award focused on her work advocating, both locally and on a federal level, for the home care industry against further Medicare cuts and higher reimbursement rates, but she’s also a fierce advocate for our staff and patients. Congratulations Maureen!

Excerpts from her nomination include: Maureen is passionate in her role as VP of Clinical Services. She has worked with her team to improve the quality of care delivered to our clients, reduce rehospitalizations, and improve efficiencies within her department. Maureen, too, is a strong advocate, constantly advocating for her staff and advocating for our patients. She also advocates on behalf of All Care. This past summer, she testified at the State House about the need for higher reimbursement rates for MassHealth nursing visits which lag far below the actual cost of providing a nursing visit as well as other home care priorities. She also flew to Washington DC with leaders from the Home Care Alliance to advocate against the proposed Medicare cuts in reimbursement for 2024. Maureen met with several legislators one on one to educate them on the importance of home care in the health care continuum.

Maureen, in her acceptance speech, encouraged all staff in home care to use their voice to help advance home care and educate others about the importance of home and community based care.
