Throughout the week of November 6, 2023, All Care had the great honor of acknowledging and celebrating many of our veterans through our We Honor Veterans program. All Care Hospice Chaplain, Jay Libby, a veteran himself, led the pinning ceremonies and individually acknowledged, celebrated, and thanked each veteran who gave so much to protect our freedom.

Through our partnership with the national We Honor Veterans Program, a collaboration between the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization, the Veteran’s Administration, and local hospice providers, All Care Hospice staff and volunteers have access to guidance and resources to better care for veterans at end-of-life by recognizing the unique challenges they may be facing. Pinning ceremonies are one small way the All Care Hospice team participates in the We Honor Veteran’s program. These ceremonies recognize current and former military members for their service and sacrifice. They are often the last opportunity for veterans to receive thanks and gratitude and to share their remarkable life experiences while serving their country.

Special thanks to the 7th grade students at Masconoment Middle School who created beautiful poppies for each veteran.
