Our History

All Care has a rich history that goes back nearly 115 years. In that time, a lot has changed — in the world and at All Care — but one thing that remains the same is our mission to improve the health of people in need.

On January 11, 1911, Archdeacon Ernest J. Dennen of St. Stephen’s Church sat down with 19 women from the Lynn community to discuss solutions for the poverty-stricken, sick members of their community. It was that day that the Lynn Nurse’s Association was born, with one nurse to serve the needs of the community. Since then, All Care has grown to encompass more than 65 communities and offers a wide range of services through a full continuum of care.
