Grieving is a highly personal and individual experience without a set timetable. The way you grieve and how it manifests itself depends on many individual factors. Some of these factors are connected to your personality, personal history, specific loss and life circumstances, relationship to the deceased, and access to support or resources.

The All Care Hospice Grief and Loss Support team understands these needs and as a result has created programs that provide safe and confidential opportunities for support, commemoration, expression, connection, and learning. Our programs have been designed with passion, experience, intention, and feedback from the mourning community, and it is evident in the way our programs are organized and facilitated. Each of the All Care facilitators are trauma informed and refer to other therapeutic resources as needed.

Grief Counseling

One-on-one or group sessions to help individuals process their emotions. They offer a safe space for grieving individuals to express their feelings and receive support as they cope with the pain, sadness, anger, or guilt that may accompany the loss.

Bereavement Services

All Care offers bereavement support to families for up to a year after the death of a loved one. This includes follow-up calls, letters, and resources to ensure families have access to continued support.

Support Groups

Support in a group setting where those who have experienced a loss can come together, share their experiences, and find mutual comfort. They can be particularly helpful as they connect people going through similar experiences. All groups and workshops are open to the community and free of charge. Registration is required for all programs by the date advertised. Programs are designed and facilitated by licensed professionals with extensive training and experience.

Remembrance Services

Our Remembrance Services are an opportunity to come together to mourn, remember and honor the deceased, connect with others who understand, and acknowledge the relationships we have built along the way. All Care offers two services of remembrance each year (summer and winter). These Remembrance Services provide an opportunity to take a moment to reflect on and remember our loved ones who have passed.

Educational Resources

Our experienced and trained team of professionals have proven resources and information to help individuals understand the grieving process. This is often in the form of books, articles, and videos. These resources can explain what to expect emotionally during grief, how to cope, and how to take care of oneself during this time.

Practical Guidance

Loss can also bring up practical concerns, such as managing finances, making funeral arrangements, or adjusting to life without the deceased. All Care is here to provide practical advice or referrals to other professionals who can help with these concerns.

Community Support & Resources

The All Care Hospice Grief and Loss Support Team is here for any local organization that needs support, guidance, or consultation after a significant loss. Our Grief and Loss Team has been working within hospice and bereavement for years and are connected to many national and local organizations as well as online resources. We are happy to share our knowledge and resources. Please contact our Bereavement Coordinator at 781-244-1198 or bereavement@allcare.org for more information.

The grief groups at All Care were a Godsend. They gave me a better understanding of the grief process as well as a safe place to express my feelings, fears and hopes with other mourners. The group facilitator was fantastic; extremely knowledgeable, supportive and uniquely skillful at guiding us through this difficult journey. It’s wonderful to know that such an extraordinary service exists in our community.

I enjoyed last night’s Remembrance Ceremony. Aside from being beautifully done, it made me realize that through All Care Hospice and the groups you have created, I have a new set of friends who understand what I am going through and are helping me make a new life for myself.
