All Care Names Nancy Tremblay as Care Transition Specialist

Nancy J. Tremblay, LPN, of Salem, has recently joined All Care VNA & Hospice as a Care Transition Specialist. A graduate of Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Tech, Nancy has 24 years of experience in the health care industry working for such organizations as Care One in Boston, Curahealth Boston North Shore and Beacon Hospice in Beverly in many different capacities. She has a proven ability to build positive relationships with case managers, physicians and medical professionals.

All Care Names Kerry Slattery as Care Transition Specialist

Kerry A. Slattery, LSW, of Dracut, has recently joined All Care VNA & Hospice as a Care Transition Specialist. A graduate of UMass Lowell, Kerry is a seasoned elder care Social Worker, with the bulk of her experience being in the health care industry and assisted living setting. Fulfilling her passion for helping seniors and their families, Kerry has been instrumental in guiding seniors through the aging process and being a resource for them for over 20 years.

All Care Names Dr. Hans C. Jeppesen as Associate Medical Director

Dr. Hans C. Jeppesen has recently joined All Care Hospice as Associate Medical Director. Dr. Jeppesen leads Charter Health PC, Lynn, MA, a medical practice he founded that provides internal medicine services in the North Shore area of Boston. In his role with All Care, Dr. Jeppesen will provide consultative services for pain management and quality of life issues for patients with advanced illness.

All Care Names New Adult Foster Care Program Manager

Michele Meltzer, LICSW, of Swampscott has recently been named Adult Foster Care Program Manager for All Care’s Resource Division.  Meltzer, who has Master’s Degree in Social Work from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, joined All Care in November 2016 as a VNA Medical Social Worker before being promoted to Adult Foster Care Manager in April of 2018. With over 15 years’ experience in social work, Michele brings a wealth of experience to her new role at All Care.

Community Involvement “Makes the Mark” for All Care Hospice at the 26th Annual All Care Charity Golf Open

All Care VNA & Hospice announced that its 26th Annual Charity Golf Open held on June 25th at Gannon Golf Course, Lynn, MA was a tremendous success, thanks to the involvement of many members of the community. Over $50,000 was raised from the event, which will benefit All Care Hospice patients by providing compassionate medical, emotional and spiritual care, regardless of one’s ability to pay. Personalized bereavement support is provided to families, in addition to support groups available to the community at the All Care Hospice Center for Grief & Loss, located at the agency’s main headquarters at 210 Market Street in Lynn.

All Care Names New Palliative Care Program Manager

Laurie McFarland, RN of Winthrop has recently been named Palliative Care Program Manager for All Care’s Hospice Division. McFarland joined All Care in 2016 as a Hospice RN Case Manager before being promoted to Palliative Care Program Manager in April of 2018. She served as a hospice and palliative care nurse at Hallmark Health in Malden for five years, and as staff nurse focusing on end of life care at Epoch of Melrose for two years.

All Care VNA, Hospice & Private Pay Services, headquartered in Lynn, MA, has been providing the highest quality home health care to individuals in the North Shore, Merrimack Valley, and Greater Boston communities for over 100 years. All Care’s Quality Services Recognized by the Department of Public Health

All Care Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) is pleased to announce that the Department of Public Health (DPH) has informed All Care that it has successfully passed its recent triennial DPH survey. On Thursday, November 15th, at the Danversport Yacht Club, All Care Hospice will celebrate its 16th annual ‘Matter of Taste’ Wine Tasting & Charity Auction benefiting our hospice patients and families. This exciting event will include silent auctions, raffles, and a live auction. Prizes include hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates, art, once in a lifetime experiences, and more!

All Care Names New Director of Hospice Services

All Care VNA & Hospice is proud to announce the promotion of Melissa Crowley, of Tewksbury, to Director of Hospice Services. Crowley joined All Care Hospice over seven years ago, first as a hospice nurse and then as a clinical manager. Melissa came to All Care with eight years’ prior experience in the hospice field and, in total, has over sixteen years’ hospice experience.

All Care Names New Director of Clinical Services

All Care Visiting Nurse Association, a leading provider of home care services throughout Eastern Massachusetts, named Maureen Collier to the position of Director of Clinical Services. As Director of Clinical Services, Collier will be responsible for the creation, implementation and oversight of all clinical services for All Care VNA.

On Thursday, November 16th, at the Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers, MA, from 6 pm to 9:30 pm, over 300 guests will enjoy a sumptuous buffet, test their palettes on fine wine and beer, try their luck on great raffle prizes, and bid on exciting silent and live auction items.

Only 200 raffle tickets will be sold at $100.00 each for the ‘A Matter of Giving’ $10K Raffle, and while you need not be present to win, it is a lot more fun if you are!

Service Weaving

On the evening of July 13, 2017 the All Care Hospice and Bereavement Program held a Summer Service of Remembrance at the Lynn office. Over one hundred All Care families, staff and community members gathered together to remember and to seek comfort. The service provided an opportunity to reflect and honor through poetry, music and special rituals lead by different Hospice staff members. The women’s chorus, Voices Rising, graced us with their amazing gifts of song and presence.

An Intern’s Gratitude

Nine months ago, I began an experience that would prove to be inspiring and life altering. At the time of accepting the All Care Hospice internship, I had not yet fully understood the scope of hospice and bereavement work. These past several months have proved to be the most rewarding and challenging that I have ever experienced.
