December 4, 2015 — On Wednesday, November 25th, All Care Hospice staff were able to make the Thanksgiving holiday a little easier, and a little more enjoyable for some hospice patients and their families.  Every year All Care Hospice is able to provide full Thanksgiving meals to select families who are faced with the challenges of having a loved one on hospice.  While life continues to go on, many hospice patients and families find it difficult to rally for the holidays, even shopping for ingredients can seem daunting, so the idea of having to cook and prepare a holiday meal can be entirely overwhelming. All Care Hospice is proud and honored to provide these families with holiday meals and memories that won’t soon be forgotten.

Tewksbury’s Ronald & Mary MacFarlane took advantage of All Care’s generosity and enjoyed a delightful Thanksgiving meal delivered to them by their Hospice RN Case Manager Michele Teldoldi and their MSW Susan Gigliotti.  The MacFarlanes enjoyed turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, gravy, and even dessert without having to do anything besides reheating to taste.  Hospice Director Kristina Neumann said, “We do this every year and it really makes a difference for our patients and families but also for our staff. We focus so heavily on the quality of life of our patients and families, to be able to make these types of contributions and allow these families the chance to create more moments and more memories is what hospice is all about and what our hospice team strives for every day.”
