North Shore Community College hosted its fourth annual community service fair on October 10th at their Lynn campus and All Care Hospice was honored to participate.

The day started with local professionals taking part in an interactive lecture about working with ‘millennials,’ the up and coming tech-savvy generation. Following the presentation and complimentary breakfast, representatives from over thirty local community-based organizations discussed volunteer opportunities with North Shore students and members of the community who were in attendance.

All Care received resounding interest in the Hospice Volunteer Program. We were not only able to fill out October training session, but received such an amazing response that we are currently scheduling additional training sessions to accommodate all of the generous people who expressed interest in donating their time and energy to our patients.

Maintaining and nourishing our relationship with NSCC and its students is a natural instinct for All Care Hospice not only because we welcome the opportunity to help younger generations identify interests and possible career paths, but also because our new headquarters is located across the street from North Shore’s Lynn campus and All care is always eager and willing to be a resource for its neighbors!

NSCC students, historically, are driven, passionate, and proactive. The caliber of the NSCC student is typically more serious and dedicated as these students are captaining their own ships into the futures that they actively create for themselves; All Care Hospice is proud to help usher these students into those futures!

By creating and meeting personal goals throughout the volunteer experience, the individual is able to gain familiarity working with a specific population while continuing to explore their own self-awareness and reflection. Each experience is unique to a volunteer’s personal journey and exploration. All Care is happy to provide such selfless individuals with the enriching experiences they are seeking out.

All Care Hospice is fortunate enough to have an outstanding group of dedicated and passionate volunteers; with the addition of this new influx of volunteers, we will be able to continue to meet our patients’ volunteer needs while expanding & diversifying our volunteer program in order to offer additional varied and stimulating services to our patients and their caregivers.
